It’s been a bit of a hard week this week. I’ve been fairly deflated and disappointed about a few things, but, and I can’t believe I’m actually typing this, the children have managed to still make it enjoyable! So what a perfect week to remember to Love the Little things – Morgana’s link hosted over at But Why Mummy Why?
Read
I read a great piece The Telegraph earlier in the week. Bryony Gordon wrote about why Having children doesn’t turn women into saints. Well worth a read, even if you’re not interested in the Peaches element the entire piece is informative and very true to life.

Watched
It was Mr Aimee’s birthday this week (yesterday actually) and I have never seen two small children so excited. Up at 5am itching to give him his present and cake. Watching them sing happy birthday and help him open his presents made for an amazing start to the day.

Wore
HAVE YOU SEEN THE SUN?! THE SUN! I’m loving it right now, and wherever I go I’m wearing my trusty shades to keep my eyes safe and my bags covered!

Heard
Voices from these small boys – a lot. Seriously – they talk A LOT. So during their 30 minute bursts of screen time I’ve been enjoying the silence!

Made Decorated
Birthday cake, courtesy of the co-op and some extra icing and Maltesers! Always a win!

And Lastly…
… like I said before, I’ve had to do a lot of thinking over the last week. Decisions have had to be made and probably the final step of changing career happened, I’ve never been more terrified. I feel very lucky to have an understanding husband who supports me while I move from my traditional job to something that a lot of people don’t understand. I guess what I’m trying to say is I’m beginning to really value the friends and family I have who are there for me.

ANYWAY NO MORE SOPPY POSTS SORRY!

The cake looks yummy, I love how excited children get for birthdays even if it isn’t there own.
