It’s been a cold and wet week, and if I’m totally honest, I’ve been a little bit grumpy. Ok, I’ve been as mardy as my arse, and my go to perk-me-up of running has fallen down the priorities list. WHICH IS STUPID because even if I went out for just 15 minutes I’d be a lot happier. BUT IT’S COLD. Plus I have words to do, and Netflix boxsets to binge on. DAMN YOU WEATHER.

ANYWAY, I thought joining in with #LittleLoves might be the perfect way to perk myself up, without having to put down the toast.

Apart from re-reading my own work with self-loathing, I am devouring Marian Keyes, The Woman Who Stole My Life.

If I’m honest, I have a feeling part of the reason I’ve been falling behind on work and running is because of the television… In the evening we are all over The Affair. We are LOVING it, but I am having a slight problem not referring to Alison as Alice and Cole (IS IT COLE?!) as Pacey.

In the day, what’s holding me off is Pretty Little Liars. YES I KNOW IT’S RUBBISH! I KNOW IT’S TRASH BUT I JUST CAN’T HELP IT! I mean, who doesn’t love awful trash. I like to think it’s good for comedic plotting research. YES IT IS. YES IT IS. YES IT IS. YES IT IS.

Hats, gloves, hoods, and fleece lined boots mostly. After all, it’s chuffing freezing.

When I have managed to venture out for a run, I’ve been donning one of the creeper hats belonging to the boys.

I have a feeling I’m not going to fit in on the set of Pretty Little Liars as much as I’d like to.

Amazon Prime is currently feeding my cheese addiction. Plus… I CAN PRACTICE THE LYRICS.

Nothing like a bit of deadline procrastination…

It’s funny how things change isn’t it? Before I had kids, and before I started writing, I was all matching crockery, immaculate OCD cream. I never would have imagined that my favourite mug would be a masterpiece by a then 4-year-old monkey, nor would I have imagined that I’d have allowed my instagram feed to be anything other than immaculate. I mean skanky grey sweater and wonky engagement ring?

Instead I’ve gone for the photograph version of how I write. SPLURGE WITHOUT THINKING. I quite like it though. It means when I look back on my memories they make me smile even more. Especially the tantrum ones – it shows what hurdles I’ve overcome!

  1. Imogene

That book is on my to be read pile at the moment, I started reading it in the Summer but never got beyond a few chapters, why did I think I could read on a family holiday?
I’m a massive PLL fan and I’m using all my strength to stay away from the latest series as I have a uni deadline next month and I know I’ll get sucked in if I begin watching it eek!
    Your pies look amazing!! xx

  2. Helen at Casa Costello

Cor those pies look bleedin amazing! Who cares if they were on a deadline. I’ve never heard of either of those 2 shows (I know! Where have I been?) I know I’ve read that book but cannot remember it for the life of me x

  3. Jess @ Along Came Cherry

I love The Affair! I wasn’t that sure after season one and wasn’t going to watch the 2nd but I am so glad I did because it was amazing. And I love Cole / Pacey, he was my fave in Dawson’s Creek and is seriously hot these days! x

  4. Morgana

LOVE The Affair, where are you up to? I must say, however, that I got to the point where I loathed them all in the first season! The second season is even better in my opinion.
Those pies look amazing! Which my children liked pies. They are such weirdos when it comes to food.
