Charity Communications.

I have been working with social media since its earliest incarnation, through its evolution to the social media we have now. With more than 20 years’ experience in the field, I have a strong understanding of how social media works, how to use it efficiently and make it work for me and the organisations I represent.

I spent the first part of my career working for an early digital and communications agency managing communities for clients such as Sky News, Teletext, Big Brother and CITV, before moving into digital marketing for the retail/leisure sector including companies such Interflora, LA fitness and Polarn O’Pyret. Those jobs taught me so much about the practical side of digital marketing and I gained valuable skills in talking to people over multiple platforms. Those skills proved useful when I took on the role as chair of a local education trust. 

I thoroughly enjoy my work with the schools and that, combined with my mother’s cancer diagnosis, encouraged me to change my focus to work solely in the charity sector.
